The accommodation

Located on the tropical and mountainous Praslin Island, La Cigale Estate is an elegantly styled colonial plantation house owned by a Seychellois family. Epitomising authenticity, this beautiful home pays tribute to the family’s history with handcrafted furniture, modern Seychellois art and Creole-inspired cuisine.

The 4.5 acre estate is nestled among tropical palms on the northeastern shores of the island, with direct access to the stunning Côte d’Or beach. The main house is home to five large bedroom suites, with a further four stylish Creole-style garden pool suites accommodating a total of 18 guests.

La Cigale operates mainly on solar energy and collects rainwater to serve the house and gardens. Much of the kitchen produce is sourced locally or homegrown in the estate’s own vegetable garden. Led by a Seychellois general manager with decades of experience, the team delivers discreet, intuitive service, infused with heartfelt Seychellois hospitality.
